Partnership Overview:

The People Tree Foundation, an independent charity closely linked with People Tree Ltd., is dedicated to advancing sustainable development for farmers and artisans. The Foundation focuses on providing training, technical support, and environmental initiatives while advocating for fair and sustainable fashion. Through this partnership, the People Tree Foundation mobilizes resources to support ECOTA Fair Trade Forum, strengthening capacity-building efforts and promoting sustainable livelihoods based on fair trade principles in Bangladesh.

Key Training and Development Areas

  • Occupational Health & Safety (OH&S) Training:

    Workshops aimed at ensuring safe working environments for artisans and meeting OH&S standards within member organizations.

  • Gender Equity Awareness Training in Fair Trade Artisan Groups:

    A pilot project designed to promote gender equality and safe workspaces, focusing on empowering women artisans, reducing gender discrimination, and enhancing knowledge of gender equity within fair trade groups.
