ECOTA’s Partnership with NOREC

Partnership Overview:

NOREC (Norwegian Agency for Exchange Cooperation) is a competence center based in Norway that facilitates international cooperation through work exchange programs. It promotes cultural exchange, skill development, and global understanding, particularly for young professionals, enhancing their competencies for sustainable global development. Through collaboration with NOREC, ECOTA Fair Trade Forum launched the Nepal-Bangladesh Exchange Program to foster cross-border learning and strengthen Fair Trade practices between Nepal and Bangladesh, benefiting both countries’ producers and organizations.

Key Training and Development Areas

  • Cross-Boundary Learning:

    Facilitating knowledge exchange to improve skills and best practices for sustainable production.

  • Strengthening Fair Trade Competencies:

    Empowering producers to adopt ethical production and fair wage practices.

  • Capacity Building for Producers and Secretariat Bodies:

    Providing hands-on training for better implementation of Fair Trade principles.
